The Turuk are a hardy group shaped by the harsh frontiers of Umbria.Built on strength, tradition, and deep clan bonds, Turuk society has endured countless hardships, from frozen highlands to scorched, wind-beaten plains. Their resilience is legendary, and their loyalty to kin is absolute. Although often mistaken for a warlike race, the Turuk are not defined by violence but by honour, craftsmanship, and an unbroken connection to the land that sustains them.
Appearance & Traits- Muscular, broad-shouldered builds
- Weathered features and strong jawlines
- Height typically 5'6"–6'0" with some of the biggest being even taller
- Lifespans around 110–150 years
- Exceptional endurance, physical strength
- Many Turuk bear clan-markings, scars, or braided hair symbolising family heritage
- Distinctive tusk-like teeth: sizes vary greatly between individuals — some Turuk have small, sharp canines, while others have pronounced lower or upper tusks that protrude slightly. These features are considered marks of lineage and are often decorated or carved with symbolic patterns.
Culture & Society
Turuk society is clan-based, with each clan maintaining its own traditions, lands, and ancestral crafts. Common cultural pillars include:- Clan Honour: reputation and loyalty
